The Chillicothe Cavaliers pass a big Division 1 test Tuesday, avenging an earlier season loss to #10 ranked Logan 52-47. Chillicothe connected on 8 of their 11/18 free throws in the final quarter to help put the game in the win column.
Jayvon Maughmer led the way with 20 points while Brandon Noel added 19 points and 12 rebounds. Bo Meyers led the Chieftains with 21 points while Layton Cassidy scored 13.
The Cavs were 19/36 from the field at 53%- including only 1/11 from the arc. Logan was 14/38 for 37%- including 8/20 from the arc and 9/14 from the foul line.
Chillicothe out-rebounded Logan 25-16.
The Cavs go for the undisputed FAC championship at home Friday against Hillsboro.
