Ohio University-Chillicothe handed Miami-Hamilton their first loss of the season in a 91-86 victory, Wednesday night. The win put the Hilltoppers at the .500 mark for the season, while Hamilton drops to (9-1).
Unioto grad Alek Adkins led the way for Hilltoppers with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Nick Corcoran kept the Hilltoppers in the game for the first half, scoring 12 points and finishing the game with 17 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds.
Last years ORCC League MVP Anthony Dixon Jr. had 16 points and scored his 1,000th career point late in the second half in only his second season with the Hilltoppers.
Mikel Pritchard, the other 1,000 point scorer on the team, had 17 points with 6 rebounds.
Bilal Barnes, a junior from Cincinnati, sparked the Hilltoppers off the bench with four minutes to go and down six, scored 8 points and finished with 8 points and 9 rebounds.
This was the first loss for Miami-Hamilton this season and the third in two seasons, all coming to the Ohio Chillicothe Hilltoppers.
