Ribbon Cutting for Chillicothe's New Intermediate School

The day before more than 800 students arrive for the first time, Chillicothe's new intermediate school was opened to the public.

The principal of the new building at Arch and Vine streets, David Bennett, praised it as beautiful, and a long time coming.  He said all stakeholders had input, so it's all for the community.

Like Chillicothe's new elementary school that opened last summer, there were a few things unfinished at Sunday's ribbon cutting, but Bennett said that is normal - and as the school is broken-in by occupancy, anything that needs work will be tweaked.

Bennett said anything and everything will be possible in the building, which will be in use for many years.

The school building was opened today, Monday, to Chillicothe's 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders.
