Urban Meyer Goes Out A Winner at the Rose Bowl

The Ohio State beat the Washington Huskies 28-23 in the Rose Bowl, for what appears to be Coach Urban Meyer's last game as a head coach. The win also gives the Buckeyes a (13-1) season, a Big 10 title and Rose Bowl Championships to improve Meyer's career record to (187-32) overall and a mark of 12-3 in bowl games. It's the first time Meyer has won a Rose Bowl.

In a national TV post-game interview, Meyer was asked about the chances of him reconsidering his retirement, which he said "I don't believe that's going to happen. I'm going to enjoy tonight. I don't believe I'm going to coach again."

Quarterback Dwayne Haskins threw for 251 yards passing and passed for three TD's, giving Haskins a total of 50 TD passes on the season.

Ohio State held a 28-3 after three quarters, but Washington shutdown the Buckeyes offense and stormed back to 28-23 with 42 seconds remaining. However, OSU recovered the onside kick, though, putting an end to the game and Meyer's Ohio State career.
