Benney Haller, the the owner of Haller Funeral Home, Crematory and Monuments, passed away New Year's morning after a lengthy bout with cancer. Haller was 74.
The funeral home website posted the announcement of his death, Tuesday, saying "It is with great sorrow that we announce Benney Lee died very peacefully Tuesday morning, January 1, 2019, at his home, following a nearly 4 year battle with lung disease and lung cancer".
His wife Margaret survives. Arrangements for services this Sunday and Monday are pending.
Haller not only ran a successful business, but was active over the years as a member of many boards and civic organizations. He was also well-known for his great sense of humor that even had him doing many emcee events over the years.
