A downed power line is causing problems in the Sunrush area of Chillicothe this morning.
More than 600 AEP customers lost power because of equipment failure which left the wires on Western Avenue / US 50 at Leeds Road near Polk Hollow Road.
It was closed in both directions, disrupting Unioto bus service in Scioto Woods, and closing the Senior Center for today.
Western Avenue is hoped to be cleared up by 10 am, but work may keep the route closed until 1 pm. The Scioto Township Fire Department reports they will use Hanover Road as a local bypass.
In another incident, traffic was delayed north of Chillicothe when drivers were forced to stop at the malfunctioning traffic light at State Routes 104 and 207. That was cleared up by 9am
