A local skateboarder was the victim of a hit-and-run.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported the injury crash on Orr Road in northern Ross County Friday morning. 23-year-old Jacob Howard of Chillicothe was riding his longboard skateboard northbound on Orr Road.
A silver SUV was also northbound, and struck Howard. It was called in at 7:27am, and Green Township EMS transported him to Adena Regional Medical Center by with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV failed to stop at the scene. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Highway Patrol Post in Chillicothe at (740) 775-7782.
