Funds Sought for Chillicothe's "Light The Park"

Donations are now being accepted for Chillicothe's annual "Light the Park."

This holiday tradition began in 2014, launched by the Chillicothe Downtown Development Commission along with help from various local civic groups and businesses. The event aims to decorate the park & downtown area with holdiay-themed decor.

This year, “Light the Park” is being coordinated by the businesses of the downtown district through Discover Downtown Chillicothe. The coordinators are obtaining new lighting and ornaments for the City's Christmas Tree, which will be located at the entrance to Yoctangee Park.

It costs about $15,000 to light the park, which is why donations are being sought.

If you'd like to make a donation, simply send you're contribution to: First Capital District 45 E. Main Street Chillicothe, OH 45601. All donations are tax-deductible.
