Supporters are conducting another fundraiser to have a statue of Chillicothe High School grad Neil Johnston erected in front of Hatton Memorial Gym.
Johnston was a 1946 graduate of CHS, who went on to a great NBA career and is in the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
"A Night for Neil", will take place at the Chillicothe Elks Hall the evening of September 29th. The fundraiser plans to raise $50,000 for a statue.
Organizer Jhan Corzine says the event will be catered by Spaghetti Warehouse and ticket information for the September 29th event can be found on the "Night for Neil" Facebook page.
