Chillicothe Council's interim committee meetings included discussion of the need for a new employee in Transit, Monday evening.
Chillicothe Transit director Donna Schinkle explained, after seven months there, it's very evident to her that an assistant is needed so she can work on the big picture.
She said an Operations Manager would be a new middle management position to cover day-to-day operations like riding with drivers and assisting with reports.
Schinkle says filling the new position depends on council. She would like to hire by the end of the year.
Council said they will discuss this further in committee, just before next Monday's session.
