City Recycling Returning to Chillicothe

After a lengthy hiatus, Chillicothe will soon kick off a new city recycling program. Mayor Luke Feeney says this new program will be much easier to implement than previous curbside efforts.

Bins will be delivered to each city residence between August 20th to August 24th and will be placed in the same location as trash and will be picked up on same day as trash, but bi-weekly. To make the program and trash collection more efficient, some neighborhood trash routes will be changed.

For now, the program is a residential service only, but the city hopes to expand the program to serve the area's businesses and schools.

Information on the revamped trash routes and the bi-weekly recycling routes will be released in the coming weeks through an information campaign.
