Monday evening, Chillicothe Council heard that city street work will start soon.
Service Director Jeff Carman pointed out the sidewalks are the first part. The handicap ramps will be installed first, in the next week. Then pavement work should start the week after the fair.
Various streets will be repaved, and they will be done in a month or two, depending on the weather.
Since it is a designated highway, the work already begun on Bridge Street is being done by the state. Carman is talking about the city's work, on city streets.
Carman says the timing after the Ross County Fair is just coincidence.
