Damaged Building Stabilized With Jenga-Looking Setup

The damaged canal warehouse at the corner of Mulberry and Main in Chillicothe is now a little more secure after some bricks fell from the damaged area in recent weeks.

Damage was originally done to the vacant historic building when a pickup slammed into the building late last fall.

Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney says he is satisfied with recent stabilization work done to secure the corner of the building warehouse. That work was recently undertaken due to issues with bricks falling onto the sidewalk.

While Feeney says there is no current time frame for the warehouse repair to be completed, the city's patience in the matter does have a limit. The mayor says if pledges by the owner to repair the building are not met during the warmer weather months, the city would reevaluate their position.
