Chillicothe's Large Item Pickup is set to take place beginning in early June. As in years past, the week of a neighborhood's collection will correspond with that neighborhood's trash collection day.
Monday: Large Items will be picked up June 4 - June 8, 2018
Tuesday: Large items will be picked up June 11 - June 15, 2018
Wednesday: Large items will be picked up June 18 - June 22, 2018
Thursday: Large items will be picked up June 25 - June 29, 2018
Friday: Large items will be picked up July 2 - July 6, 2018
Items the City will pick up include: carpet, sofas, chairs, mattresses, and other similar pieces of furniture. Paint cans as long as the paint has been dried out or mixed with sawdust.
Items not picked up include: stoves, washers/dryers, refrigerators/freezers, hot water tanks/heaters, old radios, computer equipment, air conditioning units, & TV’s. Construction materials from demolitions/remodeling, tires, batteries, chemicals or hazardous materials will not be collected.
Large items must be kept separate from regular trash pickup. Residents are asked to place their items at the curb. There will be no pick-ups in alleys.
