The Chillicothe Board of Education will award high school diplomas to any living veteran of this state, or posthumously to a living relative of a deceased veteran of this state, who meets the requirements set down by the State of Ohio.
The veteran must have served during the period of September 16, 1940 through December 31, 1946 in World War II, or during the period of June 27, 1950 through January 31, 1955 in the Korean Conflict, or during the period of August 5, 1964 (February 28, 1961, for veterans who served “in country” before August 5, 1964) to May 7, 1975 in the Vietnam War.
The veteran may have served in any branch of the armed forces of the United States which includes: US Army Air Corps; US Air Force; US Army; US Coast Guard; US Marine Corps; or US Navy. The veteran must have received an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces of the United States as verified by the original or a copy of their DD214 or other proof of service.

If the applicant wants to receive a Chillicothe High School diploma and participate in a special ceremony at the June 25, 2018 Board of Education meeting at Chillicothe High/Middle School cafeteria, please have the application completed and return to: Superintendent, Jon C. Saxton, Chillicothe City Schools, 425 Yoctangee Parkway, Chillicothe, Ohio by June 11, 2018.
