Ross County YMCA opens their Annual Capital Campaign May 1st, which seeks funds from the community to assist for operations, make routine maintenance improvements as well as needed renovations.
Nancy Ames is a YMCA Board Member and chairperson for the capital campaign, says the YMCA is a 501c3 non-profit and depends largely on membership fees, private donations and grants to keep the "Y" going.
Ross County YMCA CEO Steve Clever says they serve between 70,000-80,000 members and visitors each year. The YMCA has been in Chillicothe for over 90 years.
The capital campaign runs May through the end of July.
