Chillicothe Retains "Tree City" Status

Chillicothe has once again been recognized as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. This is the 23rd straight year the city has been awarded the designation.

To be recognized at city must maintain an active tree commission, have a community tree ordinance, celebrate Arbor Day, and spend at least $2.00 per capita on urban forestry.

The designation would not be possible without the hard work and local efforts by the volunteer Chillicothe Tree Commission.
