The mayor of Chillicothe says repealing Medicaid expansion could halt the progress Ross County has made in its battle against opioid addiction.
Mayor Luke Feeney held a press conference Friday with the Heroin Partnership Project and Cheryl's House of Hope to bring attention to the Medicaid issue before the upcoming elections.
Michelle McAllister of the Heroin Partnership Project said Ross County has been one of the hardest hit in the opioid epidemic and they are finally starting to make some headway, but without Medicaid expansion their efforts will be pushed back tremendously.
Mayor Feeney said, "We're trying to make sure it doesn't become an off-the-radar issue."
