(ODOT District 9) -- As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a slide repair project on Germany Road in Pike County.
It is proposed to improve 0.87 miles of Germany Road by widening the existing pavement and constructing three, drilled shaft retaining walls to correct landslides. The project site is located between Millstone Road and Dutch Run Road in Union Township.
The project will require approximately 6.601 acres new right of way and approximately 0.554 acres of temporary right of way; however, no homes or businesses will be removed as a result.
A contract is scheduled to be awarded in the summer of 2019, and 120-day closure of the route will be in effect during construction.
