Bishop Flaget 7th grader Nilla Rajan won the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee held in Athens, Saturday.
Rajan will now head to Washington, D.C., at the end of May to compete in the national spelling bee. This will be Rajan’s second trip to the National Bee. Two years ago, she tied for 46th place.
Nilla is the daughter of Drs. Karthika and Nithya Rajan of Chillicothe.
