(Chillicothe) -- ODOT District 9’s Planning Department is seeking public input for culvert rehabilitation projects on U.S. Route 35 and state Route 138 in Ross County, and state Route 772 in Pike County.

The bottom of the culverts are planned to be paved with concrete some time starting in October, with the possiblity of only short-term closures.

ROS-35-15.08; ROS-35-16.16; ROS-138-16.42 (PID: 102444) - It is proposed to rehabilitate the structures located at the 15.08- and the 16.16-mile markers on U.S. 35, both of which are situated near the C.R. 550 interchange, and at the 16.42-mile marker on S.R. 138, between C.R. 127 (Egypt Pike) and T.R. 85B (Asbury Road), by paving the bottom of the existing structures with concrete.

For each, the project will not require any new right of way, and no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of the project. A contract is scheduled to be awarded in October 2018 as part of a districtwide project, and although a closure of the routes will not be necessary, short-term closures and/or lane restrictions may be in effect during construction.
