A change is in store for the issuance of commercial building permits in the City of Chillicothe.
The city has announced, effective February 1st, all commercial building permits for work to be completed within the city limits, will now be issued from the Ross County Building Department rather than the Chillicothe Building Department.
All residential building permits and zoning reviews however, will continue to be processed at the Chillicothe Building Department. It's expected the change will help to improve customer service by streamling the issuance process. The Ross County Building Department is located at 15 N. Paint St. in Chillicothe.
