The Cleveland Clinic is unveiling the ten most anticipated innovations in the medical field for 2018. Cleveland Clinic Dr. Michael Roizen said a new insulin delivery system that would make Type 1 diabetes more manageable is the most anticipated innovation.
The new technology list was put together by a select panel of physicians at the Cleveland Clinic and revealed during the 2017 Medical Innovation Summit.
Other innovations include a new gene therapy to combat diseases of the eye, a new drug combination to help alleviate bad cholesterol, new ways to rapidly develop and deploy new vaccines and a new way to preserve hair in women receiving chemotherapy.
