Columbus Woman Survives Las Vegas Shooting

Reported Shooting At Mandalay Bay In Las Vegas

(Metro News)  A Columbus woman is among the hundreds of people who survived the shooting at a Las Vegas music festival.  Robin Lewis told WSYX-TV she became separated from a friend as they ran for cover when gunfire erupted during the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

Lewis described a chaotic scene, with concert goers running and ducking for cover before she was able to reunite with her friend outside the concert venue.  Another local man told his Twitter followers that a bullet struck a woman standing next to him during the concert.

Nearly 60 people were killed and more than 500 were hurt in Sunday night's mass shooting.
