Reds to Extend Netting

Fans will notice a big change when they go to the ballpark in Cincinnati next season.

The Reds have announced they will extend netting to the end of each dugout at Great American Ballpark in 2018.

The announcement came a day after a young girl was drilled in the face by a 105 mph line drive off the bat of New York Yankee and former Red Todd Frazier at Yankee Stadium. The incident left the girl hospitalized and players shaken up on the field.

The Reds say they will also replace the netting behind home plate.  The Reds had planned to make the change anyway.
