Gas prices are continuing a downward trend this week in Ohio as refineries recover from major storms in the south.
Prices have fallen by an average of eight cents to $2.45 per gallon according to AAA east central's gas price report. The great lakes region is seeing some of the cheapest gas in the country with a statewide average of $2.37.
Officials note that as we move into fall and gasoline demand drops-off, consumers could see some of the lowest gas prices of 2017.
