The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has lifted a "shelter in place" declaration after a chlorine leak in Washington Court House, reports NBC 4.
According to them, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said there was a vapor cloud from the water treatment plant near North North Street and Eyman Park Drive.
The Sheriff’s Office said the leak was contained around 11:10am, and there is no compromise of the city water supply.
Deputies were asking people to avoid the area and are instructing residents to stay inside their homes.
At noon, fire personnel were still on scene, monitoring the situation.
