Before Chillicothe Council Monday evening, Council's new member was sworn in...months before he expected.
Aaron Hines officially became the Second Ward representative, a little early - taking the seat vacated by David Clay, who moved out of the city earlier than he expected.
Hines said had had reluctantly accepted the request to run from the Republicans. But he was hoping to take the seat in January, allowing a few months to learn from Clay.
He's taking over Clay's City Services committee, and says he wants to focus on the city's strategic plan.
Hines says he has a heart for the city...while being a pastor at Church Triumphant on State Route 180, near Kingston past Zane Trace.
