Tampa Bay held on for a 73-59 win over the Cleveland Gladiators Monday night.
The Storm will face the Philadelphia Soul for the Arena Bowl XXX Championship August 26th.
The Storm scored in the first minute of the second half and capitalized on an onside kick for back-to-back scores to create separation, keeping Cleveland at least a TD back throughout the second half.
Drew Basil and Cleveland’s special teams had a rough night. The Gladiators tried to answer with a set of unsuccessful onside kicks of their own. Basil missed two PAT attempts in the first half and the team also failed on and two-point conversion. However, despite the first half miscues, Cleveland held a 32-31 lead at the intermission.
