Logan Elm Invitational:
Fairfield Union won the Logan Elm Invitational to open the High School Golf season Friday.
The Falcons (336) finished seven strokes ahead of runner up Unioto (343) and third place finisher Logan Elm (358).
Firing a 74 were co-medalists Cody Ebert (Logan Elm) and Brent Grulling (Fairfield Union).
The rest of the team finishes included Teays Valley (370), Gallia Academy (370), Circleville (379), Westfall (381), Zane Trace (424) and Amanda Clearcreek (447).
Chillicothe vs North Adams:
Earlier this week, Chillicothe faced North Adams in a Ryder Cup format at Humphries Hill Top Golf Course.
The two clubs split, 6-6. The format called for six holes, scoring the alternate shot, six holes scoring best ball and six holes scoring individual match play with 12 points possible.
Friday, the two clubs played again, this time at Chillicothe Country Club. North Adams defeated the Cavaliers 176-206.
The Cavs’ low score was by Daniel Haller (48). The Dragons’ Noah Lung was the match medalist with a 40.
