Paints' 9-4 Win Snaps 9-Game Skid Against Butler

Two big innings helped Chillicothe snap a 9-game losing streak against the Butler Blue Sox Wednesday in a 9-4 victory.

The Paints put up a 5-run 2nd inning and pushed three more runs across the plate in the 7th to fuel the win.

Chillicothe held a 5-0 lead before Butler scored three times in the 3rd cutting the margin to 5-3. But the Paints put the game out of reach in the 7th inning. Drake Peggs (Eastern Michigan) scored on a sac fly by Dallas Hall (Miami) and Chad Roberts (Northern Kentucky) followed with a 2-run shot for an 8-3 lead.

Danny Cody (Baldwin Wallace) improves to 3-1 with the win, allowing three runs on six hits.

Chillicothe (28-29) and Butler (35-22) wrap up their series Thursday at 7:05pm. The first 500 fans through the gates at 6:05pm will receive a Jim Miner Bobblehead.
