A wide variety of events will take place July 1-9 to commemorate the World War 1 Centennial, specifically, the Camp Sherman training center that was erected in Ross County in 1917.
Melody Young, with the Ross Chillicothe Convention and Visitors Bureau, said they will include bus tours that start at Chillicothe High School and go out to the main camp site.
"They'll be a short movie and some pictures showing where you're going to be so you'll see what it was then," said Young. "Then you'll actually board the bus and go out for the tour; it's going to take about 45 minutes."
Bus tours are held from 1-4 p.m., July 7th and 8th. To reserve free tickets for the bus tours or to see a complete schedule of events, log onto www.campshermandays.com.
