Paints Fall to Miners 7-6 in 10 Innings

The Chillicothe Paints (13-7-0) took on the West Virginia Miners (7-10-0) Wednesday evening, at VA Memorial Stadium. In a game that took 3 hours 21 minutes and went for 10 innings, the Paints fell to the Miners 7-6. 

Both teams came out strong in the 1st with the Miners scoring three runs and the Paints bringing home two runs. Neither team scored again until the Paints put one on the scoreboard in the bottom of the 4th, to tie the score at 4. The game stayed tied through the end of regulation, forcing a 10th inning. The Miners added four more runs to their score in the top of the inning, and the Paints tried to tie it up again, but only managed three more runs, for a 7-6 final score in favor of the Miners. Chillicothe had 6 Runs 8 Hits and 1 Error while West Virginia had 7 Runs 11 Hits and 1 Error.

The Chillicothe Paints will be on the road Thursday, to take on the Butler BlueSox (8-11-0) at Kelly Auto Park in Butler, Pennsylvania. 

In other games Champion City took down Butler 16-2, Kokomo beat Lafayette 6-4, Danville topped Springfield 6-4 and Terre Haute defeated Quincy 7-4.
