The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle injury crash that occurred on US 23, near Seif Road, in Pike County, Saturday morning.
A 2004 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by 48-year old Robert Harris, of Portsmouth, was traveling north on US 23 when it traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned, and struck a ditch. Mr. Harris was treated and released from the scene by Pike County EMS with minor injuries.
Also, in the vehicle were passengers 35-year-old Julie Hacker, 2-year-old Bryson Abbott, 9-year-old Brandon Abbott, and 8-year-old Braden Harris, all from Portsmouth. All passengers except Ms. Hacker were treated and released from the scene for minor injuries. Ms. Hacker sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center by Portsmouth Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation. Motorist are reminded to always wear your safety belt.
