“Farmers Share Breakfast” Shows Value of Farmers – and What They Earn

If you missed the annual “Farmers Share Breakfast” Thursday, here’s a recap.

Greg Wells, who represents Ross County on the state Farm Bureau, and Josh Bluck, vice president of the Ross County Farm Bureau, explain the organization’s annual meal in the video interview below.

Paying only $3 for the pancakes and toppings, sausage, fruit, juice, and more, suggests how much farmers earn from a meal you might pay $15 to $20 for in a restaurant.

They also say that Future Farmers of America, the organization for high school and college teens, is still strong. They say the number of farms may be reducing, but the FFL is still growing.

The Ross County Farm Bureau is on the on the state website and has a Facebook page.
