Christmas Carriage Rides Continue in Central Center Next Saturday

If you missed the horsies in the Downtown Open House the weekend before Thanksgiving, and yesterday in Central Center mall, they will return in a week – along with Santa.

I happened to see a white stretch carriage as I was driving away from the Farmers Market Saturday, and stopped by to chat with Diane and Devon of “O.T.’s Homestead Double D Hitch” of Cedarville, Ohio…and their horses.

Diane told me they were offering free rides in the mall, that start in front of the former Community Market grocery store – and Santa will also be holding court next door in Central Center Hardware – noon to 3pm. Central Center Hardware also has a giving tree.

Diane said the horses, brothers Raymond and Billy, are 2,000 pound draft horses who like to be working – so they were fidgety while waiting to pull the carriage. (They also like to be petted.)

Diane said they have been working with Central Center L.L.C. for about ten years to offer the rides.
