A man who was for many years associated with the world of auto sales, has passed away following a brief illness. 80-year-old Harvey L. McAllister of Chillicothe died at Riverside Methodist Hospital, earlier this week.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia, he spent most of his life in Chillicothe, where he owned and operated McAllister Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cadillac for decades.

Harvey was a 1956 graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended Miami University. He also served our country in the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of the Elks, Ducks Unlimited, Ross County Auto Dealers Association, and Chillicothe-Ross Chamber of Commerce.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on June 13th at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7pm at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 7pm.
