(Los Angeles, CA) -- A couple of Dodgers fan favorites will be wearing red instead of blue.
Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig were traded to Cincinnati for right-handed pitcher Homer Bailey and prospects Josiah Gray and Jeter Downs.
Also heading to the Reds are pitcher Alex Wood, utility man Kyle Farmer and seven-million-dollars.
Bailey was immediately released by the Dodgers -- who will pay him 23-million-dollars next season and a five-million-dollar buyout the following year. The move clears the way for L.A. to sign free agent Bryce Harper.
MLB.com says Dodgers officials met with Harper in Las Vegas during last week's winter meetings and came away cautiously optimistic.
