American Electric Power is joining with the state of Ohio to create college and career readiness programs for high school students. Last month, four high school students from Columbus City Schools signed letters of intent to take part in "Opportunities In Energy" or "O.N.E."
It will put them on track to earn the Ohio-Means-Jobs Readiness Seal on their high school diplomas. They're among the first students in the state working to earn the seal - which indicates professional skills have been verified by mentors.
