Time Change for Wednesday D-3 District Volleyball Semi

Volleyball

There is a time change for the Wednesday, October 24th Division 3 Volleyball District Semifinal at Waverly High School. The Southeast District Athletic Board has announced that the matches have been "flipped".

The 6pm contest will now be Huntington vs Southeastern followed by North Adams vs. Zane Trace.

The change was made to allow North Adams' fans to attend their girl's soccer game being played at 5pm, at Waverly, as well as their volleyball team's match which will now be playing in the second match on Wednesday, October 24th.

94 Country WKKJ and iHeart Radio will maintain it's plans to broadcast both matches that night, despite the change.

Here is the broadcast schedule for the district volleyball tournaments:

10/23 Adena vs Alexander- WKKJ airtime approximately 7pm

10/24 Southeastern vs Huntington followed by Zane Trace vs North Adams- WKKJ airtime 5:45pm/ Score updates on Unioto vs Fairfield Union

10/25 Paint Valley vs Waterford- WKKJ airtime 5:45pm

10/27 Unioto vs TBA IF Unioto advances to D-2 Finals- WKKJ airtime 3:45pm. (If Unioto doesn't advance, WKKJ will broadcast remaining D-3 SVC teams)

Due to the fact that Southeastern and Unioto were co-champs in the SVC, our long-standing policy of following the regular season champion in case of a broadcast date/time conflict, creates a snag with both Southeastern and Unioto playing the same night at different locations. Therefore, WKKJ plans to carry the Panthers on Wednesday with score updates on Unioto vs Fairfield Union, in hopes that Unioto will win their D-2 semifinal, and then allow WKKJ to broadcast the Shermans title match on Saturday afternoon.
