Chillicothe Council had a unique visitor who wanted all of their their signatures.
Bill Diehl, a member of the Central Ohio āSons of the American Revolution,ā is collecting the āJohn Hancocksā of local officials as part of an āAmerica 250ā project. He asked all the council members and city officers there to sign the back of a facsimile of the Declaration of Independence as part of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
Diehl says it is a competition in among Sons of the American Revolution chapters, and that the winner will get the signature of the U.S. president added to his collection.
Diehl is the past president of the Benjamin Franklin Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, which covers five Central Ohio counties. He said he already had the signatures of more than 110 council membersā¦and his first signature was Governor DeWine.
Hear him in his own words and see his collection in the video interview in the article on the Scioto Post.
