State Attorney General Dave Yost visited the area last night. Kevin Coleman was there.
In their annual dinner, the Republican Women of Ross County hosted Ohio's top attorney in the Multipurpose Building at the Ross County Fairgrounds.
Dave Yost chatted about starting as a reporter for the Columbus Citizen-Journal, and then switching to law.
He was elected State Auditor in 2010 and then Attorney General in 2018. Yost said that the two roles are much the same - they're about enforcing the same rules for everybody.
He said the attorneys general are the first line of defense against an overreaching federal government, regardless of party.
Yost pointed out that he joined a lawsuit blocking California attempting to regulate pork production coming into the state, even to the point of unannounced inspections in Ohio.
The Republican Women of Ross County are celebrating their 102nd year.
