Chillicothe Council passes 5 items during Feb. 22 meeting

During its regular session on Monday, Chillicothe City Council passed 5 pieces of legislation.

Chillicothe Council members passed ordinances to appropriate $8,000 to buy decorative sleeves and other items to update parking meters; to accept insurance reimbursement and appropriate funds to replace a traffic signal control panel; allowing the city to participate in ODOT's cooperative purchasing program for road salt. Council also passed resolutions for the city to apply for the Safe Routes to School Project and the Ross County Parks District to apply for grant funds.

An ordinance supporting a Community Yard Sale June 4-6, 2021, without requiring the $5 permit fee will move on for a second reading.
