The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 15 of their cases Friday, with eight open.

In one, in September of last year a group of friends were heading home in the area of Massieville, according to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office. One man offered to drive another home but had to stop at his own home.

The driver's girlfriend, 31-year-old Jennifer Hardin of Chillicothe, asked to drive on in to Massieville, and he told her yes, but don't go anywhere else, and come back. She never did.

She was found and arrested...almost a year later...but the truck was not.

For an indictment on unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Hardin could get up to one year and $2,500 in fines.

In another, according to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, at about 10pm September 5th, a Chillicothe Police Officer saw a white SUV with no lights on, southbound Bridge Street at a high rate of speed.

The following pursuit reached speeds of 100 mph and continued on South Sugar, Clay, and Maple streets, and the wrong side of Eastern Avenue - running red lights and stop signs, and almost having a head-on collision with a cruiser.

35-year-old David A. Sparks of Chillicothe finally stopped in an alley off McKellar Street where he was ready to run on-foot when officers held him at gunpoint. The reason for his speeding is still under investigation.

For an indictment on failure to comply, Sparks could get up to three years and $10,000 in fines.
