Ross Good Samaritan Network Still Serving Needy Families After 38 Years

In 1981, the Ross County Ministerial Association created the Ross Good Samaritan Food Network in an effort to take care of food needs for local families that fall through the government safety net. That network is still operating and outgoing network president Jhan Corzine took to the airwaves to say thanks to the community for what they have done to help their needy neighbors.

.

Corzine says they anticipate surveying approximately the same number of individuals as last year, which amounted to more than 10,000 families and 32,000 individuals.

.

Corzine says volunteers, along with food and cash donations are always needed at their 255 North Woodbridge Avenue food pantry location, off Chillicothe's Western Avenue. The food pantry operates 9am-2:45pm Monday through Friday.

.

People eligible for food must be 200% below the federal poverty guidelines.
