Teays Valley Student Announced as 'I Voted' Sticker Redesign Winner

A winner of a challenge from Ohio’s Secretary of State to redesign Ohio’s “I Voted” sticker has been selected.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced Emily Legg, a 12th grade student at Teays Valley High School, as the winner of the contest, which began in late March.

"This isn't just about a sticker. This is about something much bigger than that. This is about getting young Ohioans excited about voting; this impactful, powerful act."

The contest was open to middle and high school aged students across Ohio. It attracted over 2,000 entries. Secretary LaRose selected the three finalists, and online voters cast 15,000 votes for the winner.
