Chillicothe Council Continues Discussing Major City-Owned Facilities

Chillicothe Council continued discussing the major city-owned facilities, in committee Monday evening.

Council President Bruce Arnold has led regular meetings on the topic on the third Monday of the last few months.

This time, they focused on the Administration Building and old City Hall...whose estimates for renovation are about the same, and either could hold all the city offices currently on South Paint.

Discussion also touched on the City Services building on Riverside Street, which is just about doomed. When might that be demolished, or other actions taken?

Arnold said possibly by the end of the year...after several months of deliberation.

Arnold said these meetings are only for discussion. Any decisions on action would move through other committees, and then onto council's agenda.
