Hillsboro Teen Suffers Minor Injuries in Collision with Ag Sprayer

A Hillsboro teen suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision in Fayette County’s Jasper Township, last week.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, Madilynn G. Arnett, 17, of Hillsboro, was traveling eastbound along U.S. 22 west around 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11th when collided with an eastbound agricultural sprayer that had been traveling ahead of her.

Ms. Arnett’s vehicle is reported to have gone underneath the sprayer. An investigation determined the sprayer did have its hazard lights activated at the time of the crash.

Ms. Arnett suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment. She’s been cited for assured clear distance ahead and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

The driver of the sprayer was uninjured.
