SR 220 Near Waverly Reopened While Other Roads Closed in ODOT District 9

UPDATE: State Route 220 in Pike County has been reopened at River Road, two miles south of Waverly, following its closure due to flooding.

The following routes on the state highway system in ODOT District 9 remain closed as of 12:30 p.m. today, February 15, due to flooding:

  • S.R. 650 at the U.S. 52 overpass and Hanging Rock in Lawrence County;
  • S.R. 239, between U.S. 52 and S.R. 73 at West Portsmouth;
  • S.R. 73 East at the U.S. 52/S.R. 852 overpasses, west of Portsmouth; and
  • S.R. 73 / Second Street Bridge at the city of Portsmouth in Scioto County.

The duration of closure is unknown, and all closures are in effect until further notice. Motorists are reminded that crossing any closed route is strictly prohibited.

ODOT District 9 includes Adams, Brown, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross and Scioto counties.

In addition, the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office has closed Ringgold Southern Road between Old Tarlton Pike and Trimmer Road because of a culvert failure. The closure is between the addresses of 23026 and 22981.

The Pickaway County Engineer has reopened Canal Road to through traffic.
