Two Prison Inmates Indicted for Attacks

(24/7 News) -- Prosecutors have charged two prison inmates in separate knife attacks against a guard and four handcuffed inmates at an Ohio prison.

The injured guard, Matthew Matthias, suffered 32 stab wounds and numerous internal injuries, was hospitalized for weeks and still hasn't returned to work.

Prisoners Casey Pigge of Chillicothe and Greg Reinke were indicted in the Februray 20th attack at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville.

Pigge is a three-time convicted killer who had boasted about strangling a fellow inmate on a prison van. Reinke is also accused of stabbing the four inmates in a different attack last year after he slipped out of handcuffs.
